Imam Position Open

Position: Imam 

Job type: Full time 

NJIC of Jacksonville, Florida, is looking for a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green card holder) Imam of the Sunni School of Thought. We will provide a package that supports the Imam and his family in a respectable lifestyle.

Desired qualifications include:

  • Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Knowledge of Arabic
  • Strong understanding of The Qur’an and Sunnah
  • Correct recitation of The Qur'an; memorization is a plus
  • A degree in Islamic Studies 
  • Experience in community representation, funeral services, family counseling, and conflict resolution

Responsibilities include leading prayer services, including Eid and Friday prayers.
